José has been sent by the employment agency as an extra for the tapings of a New Year’s Eve television special (four months in advance) in an industrial pavilion just outside Madrid. Hundreds of people like him have been locked in there for weeks, applauding for musical performances they don’t actually see and celebrating the false arrival of the New Year. As he’s starting to fall for his dinner companion Paloma, he doesn’t know two major clashes of egos are unfolding backstage.
