The concert includes a selection of music by Spanish authors starting from the classics like Manuel de Falla or Isaac Albéniz, but also cutting edge contemporary composers like Alberto Carretero, Juan Cruz Guevara or Santiago J. Báez, not forgetting the icon of Spanish saxophone, Pedro Iturralde. The selection offers something for every taste.

Alfonso Padilla (1976) is a Spanish saxophonist with great international prominence who has performed in different countries in Europe and the rest of the world. An eclectic musician, his musical tastes and interests encompass many diverse genres and styles, although Alfonso Padilla’s current work is mainly and evenly focusing both on the performance of classical and contemporary music, and saxophone teaching. Since 2006, he has been serving as Professor of Saxophone at the Higher Conservatory of Music “Manuel Castillo”, in Seville.
