Fabricio Mattos is a Brazilian guitarist, born in the city of Curitiba, with extensive international experience of recordings and concerts. He started his musical career at the age of six and holds a master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he is currently following  a PhD program. Fabricio has already received the prestigious Julian Bream Award and is Artistic Director of the Worldwide Guitar Connections program. This will be his first performance in Estonia.

For his concert at the IberoFest, Fabricio Mattos will present some of the classic Brazilian guitar music of the 20th century, including works by Villa-Lobos, Dilermano Reis and Ernesto Nazareth. It is also planned a musical journey through the vast Brazilian territory, with compositions representative of some of the main Brazilian rhythms, such as Choro, Frevo, Samba and Milonga.
