A timeless story of love and death. Francisco Sá-Carneiro meets Snu Abecassis on 6 January 1976. He is a promising politician, deeply Catholic, married and the father of five children. She is Danish, and as well as being the wife of Vasco Abecassis and the mother of his three children, she is also the founder of D. Quijote, a publishing house responsible for the publication of books that dared to defy the censorship of the Estado Novo. Sá-Carneiro and Snu fell hopelessly in love and decided to embrace that love to the very end, resisting the criticism and the multiple obstacles they had to face – both on a personal and family level, and on a social and political one. In a Portugal fully rebuilding from the ashes of fascism, this overwhelming love, far ahead of its time, would fight against all odds, indestructible, until death.
