It was about 15 years ago when I was trying to take the order of a big group of Spaniards in a medieval restaurant in Tallinn. It was at that moment when they were all enthusiastically talking over each other, filling the terrace with their laughter and trying to order food and drinks from me, that I listened in awe to this beautiful language and thought to myself “I want to understand what they are saying and I want to speak this language.” Slowly but surely this idea began to grow and seven years later I found myself in Spain amidst all of it and stayed there for nearly seven years.
